Castlevania Judgment

Solve the mystery of the missing 'e'

Castlevania Judgment
Castlevania is one of the longest running franchises in video game history, boasting over 36 games since 1986 - not including minor cameos in other titles. A blatant Dracula rip-off/homage that began life as a basic platform adventure on the NES, Konami decided to take advantage of the Wii's motion controls and create a straight beat 'em up; news that was met by fans about as warmly as cancer.
All your favourite Castlevania characters are here - vampire hunter Simon Belmont, Dracula, Alucard, Shanoa - plus some newbies like Aeon who can control time. It was good ol' Aeon's idea to bring all the fighters together to see who's hard enough to take on the Time Reaper, sent by Galamoth 10,000 years in the future. Now that's planning ahead.

And really that's the gist of the game: beating people up...although you might think on your first look at the menu screen that there are plenty of different things to try. Actually there aren't. There are simply a lot of variations of how you will beat your opponents to a bloody pulp (strangely minus any blood. This is a Dracula game we're talking about, right?).
So, you can play as vampire-killing descendant Simon in a one-round brawl with a bit of story thrown in between K.O's (Story Mode), choose any character to go two rounds with (Arcade Mode), take on challenges such as collecting five items or defeating zombies before the timer runs out (Castle Mode), choose any character to fight and choose your weapons, costume and a battle environment (Versus Mode)...okay you get the idea. There are very small differences in each mode, but you always end up in a one-on-one fight so really it's a case of The Emperor's New Clothes.
Wohohoh! This arm is on fire!
