Scarface: The World Is Yours

Such is the enduring legend of Tony Montana - Cuban drug lord and collector of wild tigers - that twenty three years later his name was resurrected for a video game on the PS2/Xbox. This proved so successful that it was ported the following year to the Wii (although the motion controls are fairly limited and actions can simultaneously be done via buttons).

The story begins where the film left off, with Tony Montana on top of the world in his huge mansion, yet his personal life is in pieces, and his rival Sosa launches a surprise attack. Assassins kill Tony in a pool of blood. The inscription of the statue he dies beside reads: The World is Yours. Except this time Tony survives and makes it his business to once again be the top drug lord in Florida by wiping out the competition.

Your tutorial begins in Cuba, 1976, with Tony training in the army. The controls are fed to you as mercenaries attack the base so you learn to shoot, taunt them, and use cover during gunfights. If you taunt your attackers by shouting abuse then you will fill your balls meter. The more cojones you have, the more your reputation grows and if your ball meter is full, you shake the nunchuk to enter 'blind rage' mode. Now for a short time you'll be invincible and every person you kill will push your health meter back up.

Then, after blasting your way out of your crumbling mansion you bargain with your old bank manager, Jerry (voiced by Michael York) and set up a laundering account (the banks are also save points). Money you make from drug deals must then be deposited and you'll barter a high or low surcharge depending on how you tackle the cashier. To make money, find rival drug dealers on the street and either buy drugs off them or kill them to wipe out your competition.

Pulling out weapons in public will bring unwanted attention, as will executions and gang attacks, and the police will arrive. You must either bribe them, shoot them or outrace them before it's safe to commit any more deals (your blind rage mode will also be suspended while you've got heat on you). Early on, you'll be asked to ditch dodgy merchandise in the back of a van so you can then purchase a pawn shop to use as your legitimate business front, and your empire grows from there.
